Hidden abuse: All in plain sight

Sibling abuse is often called “hidden abuse” because parents easily overlook it as normal.

Many school counselors have never heard of its significant impact on children’s health.

Sibling and family issues can seem too “loaded” or complex to address.

If you need (or use) older siblings to help out in your home, bullying-abuse will almost certainly follow in some circumstances.

Children are not equipped to be parents of their siblings.

Family ties create sometimes unhealthy loyalties along with fostering co-dependency, and some siblings end up with confusing and complex emotional bonds with their abusers that can be challenging to escape.

A first option is surrender your emotional needs to God. He is the source of your and your children’s life, He is the image and destiny of your future.

Love will always win if you’ll listen to Him.
